Masala Babycorn

Baby corn is a cereal grain taken from corn; harvested early while it is very small and in the pre-ripe stage. It is typically eaten as a whole. There are various delicacies that can be made out of it. What I have described here is a simple way of preparing masala baby corn.

The following quantity serves 4 people.
Ingredients:
1. Baby corn - 250 gms
2. Medium sized capsicum - 1
3. Medium sized onion - 1
4. Grated ginger and garlic - 5 gm
5. Finely chopped green chili - 1
6. Soy sauce - 1 tsp
7. Tomato-chili sauce - 1 tsp
8. Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
9. Vinegar - 1 tsp
10. Corn Flour - 2 tsb
11. Salt (to taste)
12. Cooking Oil -
13. Spring Onion - 2-3 leaves
14. Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Preparation:
Chop the Onion, capsicum, and baby-corn into small pieces. Take a bowl and put some corn flour in it; add chopped baby corn, chili powder, salt to taste, 1 small cup of water. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan; fry the baby-corn at medium flame and keep it aside once it turns brown. Once you remove the baby corn from the oil, add ginger, garlic, green chilly,onion,capsicum and stir fry for 3-4 mins. Now add fried baby corn, soy sauce, tomato chili sauce, vinegar and black pepper; mix it well and fry for 5 mins. Take it out in a bowl and garnish with spring onion leaves. Masala babycorn is ready to be served!
