Vegetable Manchurian

Vegetable Manchurian is an Indo-Chinese recipe. It can be prepared in various ways. It can be served along with fried-rice or noodles. INGREDIENTS : FOR MANCHURIAN BALLS : Carrot – 1 cup, grated Cabbage – 1 cup, shredded Spring onion – ½ cup, chopped Onion – ½ cup, finely chopped Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp Chilli sauce – 1 tsp Salt – ½ tsp Maida / plain flour – 2 tbsp Cornflour – 2 tbsp Oil - for frying FOR GRAVY : Oil – 2 tbsp Ginger- 1 inch, finely chopped Garlic – 3 cloves, finely chopped Chilli -1, slit Spring onion – ¼ cup, chopped Onion – ½ finely chopped Capsicum – ½ sliced Vinegar – 2 tbsp Soy sauce – 2 tbsp Chilli sauce – 1 tsp Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp Pepper powder – ½ tsp Salt – to taste Water – 1 ¼ cup FOR SLURRY : Cornflour – 2 tsp Water – ¼ cup   INSTRUCTIONS : In a large bowl take 1 carrot, 1 cup cabbage, ½ cup spring onion, ½ onion and ½ tsp ginger garlic paste. Pinwheel Chicken

Non-Veg Pinwheel chicken is perfect as lunch, after school snack or appetizer. They taste wonderful both cold and hot. The following serves 4 people Ingredients : Chicken breast – 500 gms Paneer – 150 gms Tomato – 4 medium Spinach leaves – 1 bunch Parsley leaves – 1 small bunch Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch Mixed herbs – 1tsp Black pepper – 1 tbsp Chat masala – 1 tsp Garlic – 4-5 cloves Onion – 2 medium Ginger paste – 1tbsp Green chili – 2-3 Salt – to taste Oil – 2 tbsp Tomato base : Heat oil in a pan, pour in crushed tomatoes and wait till water reduces. Add mixed herbs, black pepper, crushed garlic and salt to taste. Simmer till it reaches sauce like consistency and pour it out onto your serving plate as base. Spinach side dish : Heat oil in pan, add chopped garlic, onion, ginger and green chilli; sauté till light brown. Add spinach leaves and stir till dry. Add salt to taste. Veg / Non-Veg Sprout Salad benefits our health and they also give us natural vitamins and help us cut down on our cholesterol. The more we eat them, the healthier we are. You can prepare it with or without eggs. The following serves 4 adults. Ingredients : Alfalfa (Sydney Beans) sprouts – chopped, 100 Gms White Bean sprouts – chopped, 150 Gms Green sprouted moong (lentil) – 100 Gms Red sprouted gram – 100 Gms Pomegranate – 50 Gms Green Chilly pickle – Vinegar dipped, 3-4 Cucumber – Chopped 2 medium Carrots – chopped 1 medium Onions – Chopped 1 medium Caesar Salad Dressing – 2 tbsp. Stuffed and Baked Bell Peppers

VEG Stuffed and baked Bell Peppers are a very popular delicacy across the world. You can fill them with meat, veggies, cheese, and rice or even with noodles. Here I have shared the recipe for vegetarian stuffed and baked bell peppers. Ingredients Bell Peppers – Medium, green - 2 Olive oil - 2tbsp Onion, diced – 1 medium Garlic powder - 1tsp Ground cumin - 1 tsp Smoked paprika - 1 tsp Mexican Chilli Powder - 1 tsp Red kidney beans - Drained, rinsed – 400 g Tomatoes – diced, 2 medium Cooked Brown Rice – 125 g Coriander - Chopped ½ bunch Grated cheese - 1 medium cup Lemon Juice - 2tbsp Preparation 1.    Preheat oven to 200°c. Pasta with White Sauce

VEG Creamy white sauce pasta is one of my favourite pasta recipes. It’s cheesy and melts in the mouth. Egg Rolls

Non-Veg Egg Rolls, also popularly known as Frankie or a wrap are one of the most popular street foods in several parts of India. The following serves 1. Ingredients : Egg(s) - 1 Tortilla - 1 Onions - finely chopped (1 small cup) Cucumber – finely chopped (1 small cup) Cabbage - finely chopped (1 cup) Tomato Ketchup to taste Mayonnaise - 2tbsp Cooking Oil - 3tbsp Green Chillies - 1 medium finely chopped Salt to taste Preparation : 1. Beat the egg with little salt and pepper and keep it aside. 2. Heat oil in a pan, add all the vegetables and sauté them for a few minutes. 3. Add pepper powder and sauté at high flame till veggies are crunchy. 4. On the pan add a tbsp of oil and spread. 5. Add the beaten egg on the pan and swirl the pan to spread. 6. Place the tortilla or flatbread immediately on the egg and press so that the egg sticks to the tortilla.
