Jhatpat Pasta

Veg/Nov-veg
Pasta is one of the simplest items to prepare when you don't have much options available in your kitchen. It requires very little effort and takes just 15 mins of your time. And the appreciation that you get is quite rewarding. I advise using less chili powder when serving it to kids.

The following quantity serves 4 people.
Ingredients:
1. Spiral Pasta (any other variety can be used; I prefer the spiral one)
2. Medium sized tomato - 2
3. Medium sized Capsicum - 1
4. Garlic - 10 gms
5. Red Chili powder - 1 tsp
6. Black pepper - 1 tsp
7. White oil - 1 tbsp
8. Cheddar Cheese - 10 gms
9. Chili Flakes
10. Medium sized onion - 1
11. Soy sauce
12. Boiled and shredded Chicken - 100 gms
13. Scrambled egg - 2

Preparation:
Boil pasta for 5-7 mins on medium flame. Rinse the water out of it and keep it aside.
Roast tomato and garlic together. Make a paste of roasted tomato and garlic. Also mix chilli powder and black pepper in the paste. Add salt to taste.
Cut capsicum and onion in the shape of rings. Heat 1 tbsp of white oil in a non-stick pan. Add chopped onion, capsicum and chicken to the pan. Add salt to taste. Keep stirring the contents of the pan for the next 3 minutes.
If you want this to be a vegetarian affair, do not add chicken.
Add tomato paste to the pan now. Stir it for another 2-3 mins.
Add pasta to the pan. Mix it well. Add scrambled eggs, 1 tbsp soy sauce and mix it properly. Cook for 2 minutes.
Take the pasta out of the pan and keep it in a bowl. Garnish it with grated cheddar cheese and chili flakes. And yummy pasta is ready to be served.
